Progress!

Profound title! but there is nothing profound about this article .It just deals with mundane aspects of our life, no economic theories on how much should a person consume in a year , why is there inflation & the likes, it just looks at stuff which is close to me.

Indeed we are making progress , there are malls , shopping complexes coming up everywhere. But at what cost- destroying forests to build more malls as if we dont have enough of them already what with one sprouting up in every nook & cranny of every street , destroying natural bird sanctuaries to build flyovers(so long birdies ,it was nice knowing you).But wait there is hope for them. With the world shrinking day by day maybe they wont have to migrate , an email would suffice (yup that must have been the reason for................................................), cutting down trees which provide shelter to innumerable species of birds & insects to make a playing field for a game that no one plays(amazing).
Out of all this, one thing is more than obvious got to learn how to inhale , exhale clothes , shoes etc , CO2 instead of O2 because the rate at which we are progressing it wont be long before when there are cokroaches ruling the world.
