I am, presently thinking of ways to go out somewhere without a plan because that is the fun in doing spontaneous things. Think of it, if you have thought of everything such as how you will get there, where will you stay, and what you would do there etc. what is the fun, because your day would still constitute of getting ready, eating food, talking to people and then sleeping which you anyways do. Let me clarify , by no means am I trying to say that you won't do these things on a random trip (you would obviously) but you will be required to exercise your brain power in order to get these things done and you might end up with no food on days or no shelter or maybe both but then, I never said a random trip is everyone's cup of tea.
One such trips I would love to take and have always fantasized about, is cycling across India( though leaves will put a restriction on it hence I should say a part of India), through those narrow bylanes of little towns, those mustard fields, those cycle paths of the metros, those river beds of dried up rivers and on the banks of those that are still alive, those late nights snuggling up in a sleeping bag under the sky( I do not think that is a good idea nowadays at least not in metros but can certainly be tried in smaller towns or in fields , yes I know you are now thinking that for this you would need to know where you are going so it's not completely spontaneous and I agree with you) admiring the beauty that is India while still not forgetting we have a long and I mean a very long way to go to make it truly beautiful and glorious. And by the time you are back it would have been a big joyride and you would have(hopefully) made more friends on the way and tried a few cuisines that you would not have otherwise.
And now I feel much better and I hope this inspires you to take such a trip. I leave you withis quote --" Life should not be journey to the grave with your body intact but rather scraping into it shouting -Yahoo! What a ride"
